Backslope Tools Rock Hammock

When it's too big to move by hand, it's time to break out the Rock Hammock. Strong enough to move extra-large loads, the flexible nylon webbing allows the net to better conform to your load, increasing stability during transport.

The lightweight material shaves weight in your pack, while varied attachment points allow for use with machines, hand winches, or even high lines.

  • Ideal for transporting large materials by hand or machine
  • Material: Nylon
  • Working Load: 1.5 tons
  • 60" x 60" basket size
  • 76" x 76 " Fully extended Loop to Loop

Rock Hammock

Laura Moore
Nationa Park trail work

The size and shape is something you can’t find elsewhere in the industry and I’ve noticed that there is now a weight capacity marking. However, I have attempted to use these in rigging and for by hand transportation and the stitching is very unreliable and definitely not trustworthy.

Hi Laura, we appreciate your review and thanks for letting us know about this issue! We've sent an email over to you to fix this. This is the first time we've heard about this issue with the rock hammock; we've tested them in the field pretty extensively both with rigging and hand transportation. We'd love to make this right and get the warranty process started for you so you have tools you trust out in the field. Thank you!

Rock Hammock Rocks!

The rock hammock is just what we were looking for and arrived in time for a recent trail building project. It sure came in handy as we were armoring a section of new trail. Would highly recommend.

Rock sling and big bertha

I don’t normally sling, but when I do, I go fully extended 76”x76” wide with Bert.

Worth every penny

We put this harness to work right away and it made a few rock moves possible that would have been much harder or impossible with our old wheelbarrow handle based harnesses. It's a pretty big harness which makes for a lot of different ways to carry as opposed to something more rigid, and putting four people on it should let us move not only heavier rocks but more cumbersome ones as well. Definitely glad to have bought this!
