Love the tools

We've been using our backslope tools for the first professional full hand built our crew has done in quite some time. The clyde is eating up the dirt in Southwest Oregon and we love the versatility of the edged side bevels, burly head, and great weight balance of the tool. Nicely done!

Kudos for Clydes

Bought 3 for our trail project in the Huachuca Mountains of So Arizona & they work great for roughing in the tread. I will be putting some friction tape on the lower part the handles to make them a bit grippier when using gloves. Ordering 3 more Clydes today.

Heavy Work/Light Weight

The Clyde is light weight and easy to carry into the remote and rugged backcountry. Arizona trails can be extremely tough on tools and the Clyde has held up nicely in the Superstition Mountains and the grasslands of Patagonia, AZ.

Clyde is my go to tool for cleaning lateral drains

Clyde’s mini Mcleod like design, light weight and stack slot is proving to be my drainage repair/clean out tool as I traverse the 47 miles of trails in my park in the PNW. This time of year, my default tools are now my Silky Katanaboy and Backslope’s Clyde. If I also need grub hoe or shovel, it carries well in Clyde’s stack slot. Works for me!
