The Backslope Tools Bert is our rendition of the much-loved Lamberton Rake. With a wider head compared to a McLeod, the Bert is a wonderful finishing and shaping tool that allows for greater efficiency.  A trail builder favorite that has since been discontinued, we've brought it back with the same innovations offered on the Clyde.

Crested Butte Mountain Bike Association loves Bert!

We picked up 4 Bert's for our trail crew and they are great. They move materials very well, and the tines are great for pulling spoils. The beveled sides once sharpened allow for it to be a great multipurpose tool. The stacking system is handy, and the well thought out nature of the tool is allowing us to carry less in our packs.

A big Clyde, a useful pickup

We've used the Clyde for a while and wanted a bigger rake for bigger finishing jobs, and the Bert is perfect. Same solid build as the Clyde just with the bigger head. Definitely a useful addition to our tool set.
