What a Tool!

After using a traditional McLeod tool for years, I was looking for something different to cut quickly and efficiently in hard, rocky soils. The Travis Tool, with usable blades on all 4 sides, is quite a multi-tool. It's been on the trail a couple of times now and other members of our trail maintenance crew have been impressed when they worked with it. Tools For Trails shipped it our very quickly and I had it in hand only a couple days later, just it time for a trail mainentance project. Thanks TFT and Rogue!

Four tools in one. Perfect

It cuts, it chops, it takes, it smooths. One tool does it all. I was concerned it would be a bit heavy but it is not, providing just enough weight to help digging in without sacrificing head speed. 54" handle has it working well as a rake. The only tool I need to strap to my bike when heading into the woods.

I've had a 70AR Travis Tool for a few years now. This one is less substantial, with less metal than the older one. Is it even a genuine Rogue Hoe ?

Travis Pro Hoe

This is the true Swiss Army knife of trail tools. It fits my needs perfectly from scratching a new trail to maintaining an existing trail. Cuts roots, pulls rocks, rakes on earth and underwater on shallow stream crossings, tamping , pulling you dirt, you name it. Also would work in a cinch for a zombie apocalypse weapon. My brother says it looks medieval!

Worked for me on semi rocky soil

Have used all side of the ProHoe 70AR, the sharp hoe flattens and moves soil well. The rake is 4/5 better for really loosening the soil, more tines would be preferred with the amount of rocks in the soil near me, the pick side is able to hack into smaller rocks/roots fairly well. The flattened head compacts dirt easily. All in all a great single tool for majority of trail building. It is clearly a quality tool.
